Falling leaves, autumn colors, mountain air, water straight from the earth's core....it must be Hot Springs, Arkansas. We spent our Thanksgiving week at the timeshare, and had a wonderful time (the three of us and Mark's parents). We walked, shopped, visited Santa, walked through a wonderland of lights, dug for crystal quartz (for which we found tons), dug for diamonds (and found everything but a diamond), watched football, and then we watched some more football, drove miles and miles around the state of Arkansas, ate a delicious Thanksgiving meal (kuddos to Grandma, not to mention the "all you can eat" meal at a restaurant outside of Murphreesboro - ask my mother-in-law about that). To sum it up, it was well worth the 10 hour drive home, due to rain and bumper to bumper traffic from Dallas to Round Rock. We made it home safe and with several gallons of Hot Springs water. Now it's off to the races to get the Christmas decorations up and glowing. Fa-la-la and all that good stuff!
