"How much water is in an orange?"

Aria got a chance to explain at the science fair, today, at school. It's her 1st science fair project and participation was voluntary. Starting next year, it's manditory. She and another classmate tied for 3rd place. Two other classmates placed 1st and 2nd. They all get invited to the regional competition on February 2nd, in Austin. Woohoo! Go RRCA!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Our post-Christmas blues, in fact, turned in to true blues. We buried my Uncle Raymond (my dad's brother), in Louisiana, right next to my grandparents, on New Year's Eve. Our friend, Eugenie, buried her mother on January 3rd, in addition to two other family/friend related deaths. It has been, by far, the most bizarre end of year I've ever experienced. However, Mark finally arrived home, yesterday (Jan. 4th), after being gone for 3 weeks. He is only home a week before he leaves again, so we're determined to make the best of it. Aria is content with all of her Christmas goodies, and does not want to go to school on Monday. Such is life! I made sure she enjoyed her Christmas break as much as possible. It will, now, take me the usual 2 months or so to write 2008 (instead of 2007), when necessary. We're counting down the days 'till Disney, in June. If our days continue to breeze by, it will be here before we know it. I hope your New Year is off to an awesome start!
